The daughter of Guatemalan immigrants who worked in the garment industry, Marybel Lorenzo earned her Bachelor's in Sociology from Cal State San Bernardino and spent more than a decade at Grameen America supporting women entrepreneurs. Now she is channeling that experience into a campaign to make Norwalk-La Mirada schools work better for every family.
